Cherishing Coastal Heritage
Discovering how archaeology at the edge of Wales is being affected by climate change.
Around our coastal edges is a wealth of heritage - hillforts, shipwrecks, and places steeped in myth and legend. However, as global temperatures and sea levels rise, these archaeological sites are at risk of being lost forever. This week Caroline Evans joins a walk to explore archaeological sites along the Pembrokeshire coastline - including a shipwreck and two prehistoric promontory forts! The event is organised by CHERISH - a project, that brings together archaeologists and scientists, to examine the effects of our changing weather patterns on coastal and maritime heritage in Wales and Ireland.
