The impressive Sandwell Aquatics Centre, built especially for these games, plays host to a number of swimmers who won medals at the 2020 Olympics. Australian superstar Emma McKeon, who topped the podium four times in Tokyo, looks to add to her incredible haul of eight Commonwealth golds. Home Nations interest will focus on England’s Paralympic champion Maisie Summers-Newton in the SB6 100m breaststroke and her compatriot Abbie Wood in the women’s 200m individual medley.
