After an 18-month wait, the airport is bustling as anxious families wait to board flights. Jeremy joins Virgin flight manager Emma as she prepares a busy flight and finds it's not just the passengers who are feeling emotional.
Footfall is growing, but lost revenue from the closure of shops and restaurants poses a serious risk to Heathrow’s survival. Jeremy meets Ellen, an entrepreneur who is setting up a new restaurant in Terminal 2, signalling a change in Heathrow’s retail fortunes.
