The midwives care for young Jodie, who wants to give birth at her family home; Jules, who has had two C-sections and is now planning for a water
birth; and Miriam, under the care of midwife Gemma.

The midwives care for 18-year-old Jodie, who wants to give birth at home with her mum and boyfriend.

Former corporate banker Jules has ditched the rat race and now runs yoga classes from home. After two previous caesarean sections, Jules hopes for a water birth. She’s in safe hands under the care of team leader Laura.

Miriam is originally from Germany and hasn’t seen her mum for more than a year. Miriam and midwife Gemma form a close bond as the pregnancy progresses.
