Firmus Energy hopes to drop its gas prices following a series of increases. The price of Firmus has doubled since last October.
The head of Firmus Energy says it hopes to announce price decreases as soon as it can. But that pledge at a local council meeting came just hours after the gas provider announced another price hike for more customers in Northern Ireland. Yesterday, Firmus announced gas bills in Belfast would increase by 37%. Last week, Firmus announced a 16 per cent price rise for 55,000 customers in its Ten Town Networks, which includes Derry, Limavady and Coleraine.
