It criticises ministers for failing to lockdown soon enough- saying it cost many lives. BUT it dubs the UK's vaccine rollout as "one of the most effective initiatives in UK history". The chair of the Science and Technology committee, Greg Clarke - who helped write the report - says ministers and experts were too inward-looking at the start of Covid-19.
