New Music of the Bagpipe Kind

Gary West samples music from three new album releases, and also winds the clock back 30 years to the world pipe band championships of 1991.

Gary West takes a listen to three excellent new album releases from Fraser Fifield, John Dew and the students of the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music in Plockton. There's sets, too, from Sarah Muir, Trail West and Fred Morrison, while he also winds the clock back 30 years to the world pipe band championships held at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow in 1991, featuring sets from the top two bands that year, Strathclyde Police and Polkemmet Grorud.
