Day 14: Red Button - Basketball

The United States and Serbia play in the semi-finals of the women’s basketball, looking for a spot in Sunday’s final. The winners will play either France or Japan with the aim of winning their seventh straight gold medal in the women’s event. Serbia finished their pool stages second to Spain, with five points. They then had to overcome China on their way to today's semi final. The US topped their pool with six points before toppling Australia in the quarter-finals. The bronze medal match will take place on 7 August, with the final on 8 August.
