Special Guest: Dean Friedman

He’s joined this week from New York by acclaimed singer-songwriter Dean Friedman.

Dean’s been a regular visitor to the UK since the late 70s when he scored a Top 3 hit with the song ‘Lucky Stars’. He continues to make new music and has been busy during lockdown with intimate Zoom gigs for his fans around the world. There’s a new album to discuss titled ‘American Lullaby’ which is released at the end of August, and Dean’s promoting it with a six-night virtual show at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival. All of which means he and Johnnie have lots to talk about, and we’ll hear a couple of his best-loved songs.

A 1979 rock anthem enters ‘Johnnie’s Jukebox’, and something very quirky from that same year is the latest suggestion for our ‘One Of A Kind’ slot.
