Fans were treated to the longest singles final in Wimbledon history when it was last staged in 2019, as Novak Djokovic successfully defended his title by beating Roger Federer in four hours and 58 minutes. Djokovic saved two championship points to become the first man since 1948 to win the title after doing so.
