Rhymes from Robert Millar, Glen Millar’s marching band story and a farming song - from lads who aren’t farmers.

A new book of Ulster-Scots rhymes, the story of growing up in a marching band and the Wyl’ Hallions on how ‘that’ song came to be.

Robert Millar joins the team this week to chat about his new book “A Wheen o’ Rhymes”. Diana Culbertson meets Glenn Millar, whose book “Made to Parade” is the story from when he joined a band as a nine year old. Jonnie Crawford has a yarn with the three friends who called themselves the “Wyl’ Hallions” and produced a song about farming that’s gone viral.

Rab Lennox, Willie Hill and Helen Mark complete this week’s team and as always, there’s room for your input too, so let us know if you’ve any yarns to share or Ulster-Scots events to promote. You can email the Kintra team at [email protected]
