Fallon struggles to keep quiet while Mia discovers two’s company.

Mia asks for Ruairi’s help with her environmental project. Ruairi agrees to be interviewed, but Mia’s wrongfooted when Ben turns up too. She tries to make the conversation just between her and Ruairi but wisecracking Ben chips in, pulling Mia off track. When Ruairi agrees to eat only vegan sweets from now on and Ben clocks Mia’s delight, he points out to Ruairi that Mia has a crush. Ruairi insists their connection is purely on climate change, but Ben warns him he needs to be careful of Mia’s feelings.
Brian wants to know why Fallon and Harrison have pulled out of being godparents to Martha. Fallon improvises, using Harrison’s brother and his partner’s poor reaction to the news as an excuse. Brian thinks this is a bit thin as a reason. He claims Alice has felt the refusal like a slap in the face – how does Fallon think she feels? Fallon gets right to the edge of telling Brian about the kiss before summoning all her resources and resisting. Fallon reports to Harrison that she was ready to scream at Brian that Alice is a train wreck. Harrison’s news that Chris wants space to work things out with Alice makes him sad – he feels like he’s being punished. Fallon counsels him to give it time. They remember ruefully how they once thought Chris and Alice the golden couple, and themselves boring in comparison. Fallon’s glad to hear Harrison wasn’t tempted by Alice’s kiss. They’re lucky to have each other, and agree they could never be bored with one another.
