Comic Relief Red Nose Day

Comic Relief raises money to support people living incredibly tough lives. Through humour and stories of hope, we’ve shown that people can make a massive difference. We fund hundreds of amazing organisations in the UK and across the world who are working on the ground to support the most vulnerable people and communities in society, including many of those hardest hit by the coronavirus crisis.

Actor and comedian Sir Tony Robinson visited a Comic Relief funded project, The Sensory Trust, which uses nature and the outdoors to combat loneliness and improve the health and wellbeing of people living with dementia, a subject close to his heart.

Stopping for a tea break Sir Tony Robinson shared biscuits and stories with Teresa, a member of the walking group run by the Sensory Trust. Following the death of her husband from dementia she was also diagnosed with it 5 years ago and joined The Happy Wanders for social engagement and support.

Red Nose Day is on Friday 19th March 2021 and will aim to bring the UK together (although we may be apart) to show just how powerful humour can be through the toughest of times.
