Jazzer learns a valuable lesson and Clarrie drops a bombshell.

Susan commiserates with Clarrie about losing her role in the Mystery Plays. There’s been talk about Eddie in the shop. Clarrie knows his name’s mud after walking out on Lynda but staying with Darrington’s show. Later Kirsty informs Susan Lynda would like her to take over Clarrie’s role of king. Susan’s aghast; she couldn’t possibly do that to her friend! She prevaricates. How would she tell Clarrie? She’ll have to think it over. But Clarrie’s heard every word, and assures Susan she wouldn’t mind at all. Susan would be her first choice for taking over the role. She’d be much better, and more suited to the horse riding. The what?? Susan’s appalled.
Jazzer and Jim have been interviewed by the Echo about the delivery of Alice’s baby. Leonard hails Jazzer as the hero of the hour. He fills Jazzer in on his time capsule idea. As Jazzer relates the story of Martha’s birth, Leonard exclaims the account is a perfect candidate for inclusion in the capsule. They chat about last night’s Mysteries rehearsal. Jazzer declares he’s not returning until Clarrie and Eddie are replaced. He’s astonished at how rude Lynda was to Leonard. Humble Leonard asserts he did make a hash of his lines.
Later Tracy thanks Jazzer for his part in the safe arrival of Martha. She shares the horror of her experience when she had Chelsea. She’d been alone and terrified. Jazzer’s moved, and abandons his birth account for the time capsule. He’ll tell Leonard he’s changed his mind. As Tracy said, men have no idea at all.
