IMPACT
IMPACT is a charity dedicated to ending needless disability here in the UK and in 13 countries of Africa and Asia. They believe that no one should become or remain needlessly disabled by disease, lack of medical knowledge or shortage of health services. IMPACT’s projects prevent and treat needless disability, promote health; and as a consequence, reduce poverty.
Taking the hospital to the people

IMPACT has innovative means of reaching people without access to healthcare. In Bangladesh - a country of more than 700 rivers - their fully-equipped hospital on a boat is the perfect way to take medical care and surgery to rural communities, to reverse disabling conditions.
Transforming lives

When Bokul developed cataracts at just 40, she
lost her sight, income and independence and was too poor to afford medical
treatment. Bokul thought she would never see again until IMPACT’s floating
hospital moored at a riverbank near her village. After surgery on board, she
said, ‘I’m so relieved I can see again – and I’m no longer a burden on my
family’.
Make an IMPACT today

Bokul’s story is common in countries like Bangladesh but by giving IMPACT £43 today, you can change a life. This is the average cost of an operation for someone living with a needlessly disabling condition like cataracts.
