Chris has a confession to make while Ruth and David come to an agreement.

Ruth and David return to their discussion about no longer farming sheep at Brookfield. Ruth is worried about the negative impact Brexit will have on sheep prices. David worries that Ruth and Pip will squeeze him out of decision making. Ruth reassures him that’s not the case.
David is offered a part in The Mystery Plays which he thinks he should take to placate Lynda about refusing her use of their barn. Later Ruth is also offered a part, which panics her. She decides to agree to Lynda using the Brookfield Barn as long as she can turn down the role.
While Alice and Chris are babysitting Xander for the day, Chris gets a message from Harrison. Chris is reluctant to leave but Alice pushes him to go to meet Harrison for a chat. Harrison reveals he’s been asked to play Jesus in The Mystery Plays. Chris encourages him to accept the role. Harrison probes Chris about Alice since her spell in detox. Chris is sure Alice has beaten her addiction but Harrison warns that Alice might not be fixed entirely. This makes Chris lash out and Harrison backs off.
On his return, Alice tells Chris she knows he’s talked to Harrison about her detox. Chris is full of apology and Alice is understanding, much to his relief. She’s so grateful for Chris’s support and she thanks him for not giving up on her.
