Rakeem Omar presents big anthems and tunes you haven't heard in ages.

28-year-old Rakeem started out on Birmingham community station Newstyle Radio. He went on to become a regular on BBC Radio WM, interviewing big music guests and hosting discussions on everything from cyber dating to anti-crime activism. He's one of Radio 1's Christmas Presenters for 2020 - a week of new presenting talent taking over the schedule.

“This is one of the most surreal moments for me - but a major blessing I never imagined could actually happen," he says.
