A children’s story-book illustrator, and for the end of October, Ulster-Scots poems and yarns to send a shiver up your spine.
The team ends book week by meeting a children’s story illustrator and for Halloween, unsettling Ulster-Scots yarns and poems to raise the hair on the back of your neck!
Kintra finishes up Book Week with Diana Culbertson chatting to children’s story-book illustrator Jennifer Davison – with a short reading from 6 year old Rose. Terrifying tales in Ulster-Scots verse are also on the menu as Willie Laverty reads his poem “Halloween Nicht” and Mark Thompson reads “The Haunted Hill” by George Francis Savage-Armstrong. There’s a spine-tingling story from Elaine McFeeters who warns us about the lady at the well and Matthew Warric recounts the unsettling yarn of a man who did a deal with the devil - or so the Presbyterians said…
Helen Mark and Rab Lennox complete this week’s team.
The friendly folk on the Kintra team aren’t that scary – they love a good yarn on any subject if you’ve one to share. They’re always delighted too if you’ve a tune to request or an Ulster-Scots event to promote. They’d be happy to hear from you by email at [email protected] .
