On the morning of her 80th birthday, Joan bumps into her 12 year old neighbour Fionn at the post box.

The story of an unlikely friendship between two neighbours in rural Ireland.

Elaine is an Irish poet, novelist, and playwright. She has published three collections of poetry, Where’s Katie?, The Radio was Gospel, Rise, and a drama piece, WRoNGHEADED, commissioned by Liz Roche Company. She teaches at The National University of Ireland, Galway and St Jarlath’s College.

Her work has been widely published and anthologised in Poetry Review, The Stinging Fly, The Irish Times and others.

Her fiction debut 'As You Were' was featured in the Observer's Ten Best Debut Novelists of 2020.
