Documentary Special
Talking Movies looks at how police violence targeting black people has been documented historically, with contributions from film-maker Spike Lee and documentarian Stanley Nelson.
With the US having been engulfed in civil unrest in the wake of the recent death of George Floyd while in police custody, Talking Movies looks at how documentaries have historically covered police violence targeting black people.
With contributions from America's top black film-maker Spike Lee and acclaimed civil rights documentarian Stanley Nelson, the programme reviews key documentaries focused on police shootings and beatings of unarmed black individuals.
This documentary special also reports on Becoming - a new documentary following the former US First Lady Michelle Obama on a national book tour.
