Family Fund
There are one million disabled children in the UK and a third of them live in poverty. Family Fund provides families with disabled children with the essential items they need most. Helping us means helping disabled children live well through hardship.
Jo Whiley and childhood disability

Our presenter, TV and radio broadcaster Jo Whiley, has a younger sister with a rare genetic syndrome who needs round the clock care. Jo understands the financial and emotional pressure that childhood disability can create – and that disability can happen to anyone.
Helping children like Hadley

When newborn Hadley contracted Meningitis she became critically ill. Family Fund responded to the family’s call for help with an urgent grant for hospital living and transport costs. Today, we continue to provide support when it’s needed, so that Hadley, who has brain damage and a range of disabilities, doesn’t miss out on the things she needs most.
A fairer childhood

From play equipment to bedding and clothing, washing machines to short breaks, Family Fund supports over 70,000 families raising disabled or seriously ill children every single year. We treat every child as an individual and support families to receive the help they know will make the biggest difference to their lives.
