The government has revealed details of its plans for a new immigration system, which will replace freedom of movement now that the UK has left the European Union. After the end of this year, EU migrant workers will need visas, which will be granted according to a points-based system. Caz Graham asks whether the system will work in agriculture, where many businesses are heavily reliant on migrant labour.
The annual City Food lecture will take place in London this evening, with an audience of 650 academics and industry leaders. It will be delivered by a Dutch scientist who's a leading thinker on global food issues. She talks to Caz about some of the confusion and conflicts that perplex many consumers when it comes to choosing what to eat.
Continuing a week-long look at fishing, we hear about so-called "ugly fish" - the ones which are end up in the nets as by-catch, but which aren't popular with consumers. A new project on the Northumberland coast is hoping to improve the image of these unpopular fish, and at the same time increase public understanding of the fishing industry.
Presented by Caz Graham and produced by Emma Campbell.
