Both teams have recruited heavily during the off season, but the atmosphere is as intense as ever as two of rugby league’s fiercest rivals go head to head.
The two trophy-winning teams from last season, Warrington and St Helens, meet at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. St Helens were Super League Champions, whilst Warrington won the Challenge Cup at Wembley. Both are amongst the favourites for silverware this year, too. Castleford play Wigan, Huddersfield are at home to Leeds and Wakefield face Catalans.
Newly promoted Toronto Wolfpack play their second Super League fixture away at Salford.
