Female Future - How to Build a City for Women

Ahead of International Woman's Day, another chance to see how the women of Barcelona are rethinking their city's design. Almost every city in the world has been designed and built by men. But what if the other half had a go? In the 1990s, Vienna did an urban revamp involving female architects. Barcelona has been trying different ways to replicate this, via their mayor, local architects and campaign organisations. But as the coronavirus pandemic disrupts city life on a previously unimaginable scale, 100 Women revisits the people they first spoke to in 2019, to find out if their visions of a utopia are still possible.
