Toybox
Toybox is a UK charity working across Latin America, Africa and Asia to end the injustice of children living and working on the streets. We help prevent children from taking the final step to street living, rescue them when they do and help them restore their lives and build new futures for themselves away from the streets. The Invisible Children

In Nepal, an estimated 5.5 million children are unregistered. Many live and work on the streets and become vulnerable to abuse, trafficking and exploitation simply because they do not officially exist. Every day is a challenge for their survival, even needing to escape those who are meant to protect them.
Hide and seek

Living on the streets without a birth certificate means children must hide from the police to avoid being rounded up after a law in 2015 made living on the street illegal. They hide in trees, in temples, in any dark corner where they won’t be seen.
Kala’s story

Fortunately, Toybox is helping children just like Kala in Nepal. With the help of Radio 4 listeners, we hope to raise enough to support 1,000 children with the registration process so they can come out of hiding and enjoy a new life away from the streets.
