Would you ditch your petrol car for electric if you got free parking and access to bus lanes?
Drivers of electric cars could be given green number plates that allow them to use bus lanes and park for free. The department of transport is running a 12 week consultation in England as the government hopes it will boost electric car sales, helping it achieve its 2050 target of net zero emissions.

But is it fair that drivers of electric cars should get benefits that other wouldn't?
