Your daily classical soundtrack
Half an hour of uninterrupted music including an exquisite lament, stunning organ music, Oscar Peterson on piano, and choral and orchestral music with a rural twist.
In Tune’s eclectic mix of uninterrupted music: featuring Oscar Peterson's version of Angel Eyes, a lush folk song arrangement by Percy Grainger and a stunning piece of organ music composed by Jehan Alain, tragically killed in World War II, and played by his sister Marie-Claire. There's also an exquisite lament by Grace Williams, a poignant piano prelude by Rachmaninov, and the sequence ends with the ever popular overture "Land of the Mountain and the Flood" by Hamish MacCunn.
