Katie Derham launches Proms Encore – a magazine show to accompany the BBC Proms. Located at a specially constructed bandstand directly opposite London’s Royal Albert Hall, the show features live performances and special guests, including the conductor Kwame Ryan, violinist Stephanie Childress and comedian Rachel Parris, who reveals her passion for classical music. Saxophonist YolanDa Brown also explores the Proms inspired by outer space with Britain’s first astronaut, Dr Helen Sharman.
