BBC NI Director has provided staff with a fuller explanation of the BBC Pride network’s involvement in Belfast Pride 2019.
Mr Johnston clarified that the BBC won’t be taking part in a Corporate capacity, in line with considerations linked to the BBC’s Editorial Guidelines.
He accepted that there had been some earlier confusion about the BBC’s involvement and acknowledged the important role played by the BBC Pride network in helping to ensure that the BBC is an inclusive and diverse organisation.
Also on the programme, DUP calls on new Secretary of State to reinstate the portrait of the Queen at Stormont House.
