Robert Dougall

BBC TV newsreader Robert Dougall shares his love of wildlife and conservation with Derek Jones.

He also reveals his favourite animals courtesy of sound tracks from the BBC archives - from the Go-Away Bird to the Hippopotamus.

One of the original team of in-vision BBC TV newsreaders, Robert Dougall presented bulletins for nearly 20 years.

He died aged 86 in 1999.
