He recalls his invitation to entertain factory workers for Workers' Playtime on the BBC Home Service.

In conversation with Michael Pointon before a studio audience.

Arthur is best remembered as Mr Harman in BBC TV’s long-running sitcom 'Are You Being Served?' and as Slugger in Yorkshire TV's 'Follyfoot' shown on ITV.
