Jolene takes the initiative and Kirsty feels unsettled by recent events
Jolene shares the news that Adam and Ian are expecting a baby and Lexi is the surrogate. She tells Philip, Kirsty and Alistair that Sabrina has been spreading the news.
Kirsty is still struggling to adjust to her new neighbours - the Aldridges have still not fixed her phone line she tells Philip. She is also feeling unsettled at work, she didn’t expect to be working full-time in the leisure industry at her age. Philip urges her to retrain in something she is passionate about.
Doug Lovell has made some comments about Alistair’s age. He’s been assigned mostly centre-based work and is expected to wind-down. Later, at Grange Farm Alistair sees to Gem who has an infection in her hoof. Joe’s concerned that now that Alistair and Shula have split up he’ll be lumped with Gem’s veterinary costs. Alistair reassures him that Shula will still cover Gem’s costs but Joe might not be able to rely on Alistair for call -outs anymore since he’ll be spending more of his time in Felpersham.
Kenton reports to David that his meeting with Elizabeth went badly. He explains that she was in denial about her depression. He also reveals that he let slip about the sleeping pills which explains why Elizabeth’s not answering her phone. Jolene advises that the best thing Kenton can do to help Elizabeth is to get Lower Loxley’s licence back.
