6 Music’s All-Day Christmas Party, with The Staves and Sink Ya Teeth

Stuart is at BBC Maida Vale Studios for 6 Music’s All Day Christmas Party with live music and special guests.

Today, from 7am-7pm all 6 Music’s daytime shows will be coming live from BBC Maida Vale Studios.

Stuart hosts live music from The Staves and electro duo Sink Ya Teeth. Among those popping by for a mince pie and a natter, is Shaun Keaveny who will be taking the reins of the afternoon show from January and Mary Anne Hobbs, soon to begin the mid-morning show. Clare Crane has a special festive edition of Music News, Elizabeth Alker joins the festivities and Chris ‘The Hawk’ Hawkins swoops in for a chat.

Across the day, 6 Music will be saying hello to the presenters launching their new shows in 2019. Shaun Keaveny (7am – 10am) will be joined by Lauren Laverne who begins presenting the breakfast show from January. Mary Anne Hobbs will also pop into Lauren Laverne’s Show (10am - 1pm) to DJ Desert Island Disco and Steve Lamacq (4 – 7pm) will finish up with a festive knees up.

Showcasing the new schedule, 6 Music’s All Day Christmas Party will celebrate everything BBC Radio 6 Music - from the music and the artists, to the listeners and the presenters.
