Brian's birthday proves eventful and there's disaster for Will

Tom hears that Lexi has broken up with Roy. He goes straight to Grey Gables to check on Roy. Tom encourages Roy not to give up on Lexi, if he truly believes that she’s the one.

It’s Brian’s birthday, and Jennifer tries to make him have a lie-in. However, a problem with the shoot sends Will rushing to Home Farm to ask for Brian’s help. The drives have been wrecked by joy-riders. Brian tells Will not to call Martyn straight away, and goes to look. Together they work out a way for the shoot to go ahead.

Harrison is woken early by a phone-call. Roy has found a crashed and abandoned pickup in a ditch. Harrison hears about the damage at the shoot from Brian. Brian’s sure the pickup was involved. Later, Brian’s delighted to hear that the shoot went well. Will received a lot of praise for saving the day, but he thinks they should really have thanked Brian. Brian refuses to take the credit – Will’s professionalism meant that there were alternative drives available. Will insists that he learned from the best. The shoot isn’t the same without Brian. After Will leaves Brian proudly tells Jennifer that this compliment was the nicest birthday present he could have received.
