Barbara Irvine speaks about the National Plant Monitoring Scheme where volunteer surveyors are collecting information on the many different species of plants and wildflowers; the site of a Renovated 18th Century Corn and Flax Mill are having their first foraging workshop and the Chairman of Lough Erne Heritage Fred Ternan on the Cot Regatta in Belleek.

National Plant Monitoring Scheme: Barbara Irvine

Barbara Irvine from Jordanstown is one of many volunteers to join the National Plant Monitoring Scheme, a huge citizen-science project that's happening all over the UK. Each volunteer is allocated a one kilometer plot and they set about recording what's in it. Barbara's plot is near Ballycarry and it is where her family used to live.
Kilkeel's Foraging Workshop

A renovated Corn & Flax mill from the 18th Century is about to host it's first ever foraging workshop where members of the public will be able to discover which plants are edible and which are not. Helen Mark speaks to Jenny Hanna all about the event that is taking place beside the charming Kilkeel River.
