Galina Timchenko - Russian journalist and executive editor, Meduza

Galina Timchenko made her name as editor of one of Russia's leading news websites Lenta.ru. In March 2014 she was fired, she claims as a result of pressure from the Kremlin. Along with some former colleagues, she set up Meduza, a rival news website based in Latvia.
