Alexander McCall Smith

Internationally acclaimed writer Alexander McCall Smith speaks to Gavin Esler at Hay Festival. The author of more than 80 books, including the 44 Scotland Street series, has been described as a writer of 'gentle wisdom and good cheer'. His books have been translated into more than 46 languages.
