The parents of Alfie Evans are to ask judges to allow them to take him to Italy for further treatment.

The parents of the terminally ill toddler Alfie Evans are to challenge a ruling preventing them from taking him to Italy for further treatment. The 23-month-old's life support was withdrawn on Monday after a court decided Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool could end his care. The case will be heard by the Court of Appeal this afternoon.
