Celebrating the 90th Anniversary of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales
Roy chats to Beverley Humphreys about her many collaborations with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the concerts celebrating its 90th anniversary over the coming week.
Roy has a musical celebration of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales which this year celebrates its 90th anniversary . Roy is joined by Beverley Humphreys, who has presented many concerts with the orchestra , including the annual Proms in the Park.
Roy also recalls the day he took to the podium himself and had a go at conducting the orchestra! You can hear how he got on at the helm courtesy of his weekly dip into the radio archive; this week, it's a chance to hear his show from 2012, when BBC Radio Wales spent a day broadcasting from the home of BBC NOW - Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff Bay.
