As Claudia continues to research and share recipes from all over the world, she is celebrated by fellow cooks but still prepares meals with her family, including granddaughter Nell, rather than her mother.

Published in 1968, Claudia Roden's book was a major landmark in the history of food writing and paved the way for all the TV chefs who followed.
