Abdel's Return

Ruth Jones stars as Mandy Haveez in David Peet's new sitcom set in one of the more lively areas of Cardiff. This week Abdel - Mandy's ex, and Chertsey's father - makes a surprise visit to Splott. Will old feelings be rekindled? And will Mandy get on with Abdel's husband? And, when it comes down to it, which family will Mandy choose...?

School cook Mandy Haveez lives in Splott with her recently widowed Dad and her daffy daughter Chertsey, just down the road from Mandy's twin brother Bryan, and Bryan's pretentious wife Patricia (don't call her Trish).

Passionate, sometimes gung-ho, yet ultimately big-hearted, Mandy simply seeks peace, romance and happiness... but none of it seems to come without a fight.
