All the local, national and international news and sport. People in Northern Ireland will now be able to check if their partner has a history of domestic violence.

A scheme which allows people to check whether their partner has a history of violence comes into effect here today. The domestic violence disclosure scheme - known as Clare's Law - has been operating in the rest of the UK for several years.
