In more detail....

Victoria Shevrington-Jones is a very busy woman overseeing nearly 40,000 laying hens, delivering free range eggs to almost 700 businesses from the family farm in St Brides, near Newport, on the Gwent Levels. The business began 60 years ago by her father with a couple of chickens and few shops and as the business built up with battery hens they saw a gap in market in 2002 and turned to free range. But when her father died, seven years ago, Victoria faced a steep learning curve and took over the running of Country Fresh Eggs. In July last year she was named Wales Woman Farmer of the Year at the Royal Welsh Show by NFU Cymru.
