Row over what was and wasn't agreed by DUP and Sinn Fein takes another twist
Row over what was and wasn't agreed by DUP and Sinn Fein takes another twist after a copy of a draft agreement DUP and Sinn Fein had been working on is leaked.
So... now we know. A leaked copy of the draft agreement being worked on by the DUP and Sinn Fein, before power sharing talks broke down, has been published. Broadcaster Eamonn Mallie put 13 pages of the draft document on his website last night. A section on language confirms plans for three separate bills, dealing with Irish, Ulster Scots and the importance of respect and tolerance. However, square brackets indicate some details may still have been under discussion. Stephen spoke to BBC NI political correspondent Enda McClafferty, UUP MLA John Stewart, Alliance MLA Stephen Farry, TUV MLA Jim Allister, People Before Profit MLA Gerry Carroll and SDLP MLA Colin McGrath.
