Merthyr music fans share their memories of the time when the town was a mecca for chart-topping bands in the 1960s and 1970s.
Take a trip down memory lane with the Merthyr music fans who enjoyed seeing chart topping bands and singers when they played in the town in the 60s and 70s . Paul Carr tells Roy how those memories have been recorded and are being passed on to local schoolchildren to help them learn about Merthyr Tydfil's musical heritage .
Roy's band of the week is Aberystwyth Silver Band and from the radio archive, it's back to Roy's trip to Dublin in 2012, when Wales beat Ireland in a Championship winning year .
