As part of Listening Month, Conor McKay introduces compelling real-life conversations from around Northern Ireland. Jon and his brother Eddie endured terrible abuse in a care home.

Jon was three years old and Eddie was four when they were moved to St Joseph's Care home in Termonbacca in Derry. They had another brother and sister there too. They all suffered horrendous abuse, including being bathed in disinfectant. After years of campaigning they feel vindicated by the findings of a Historical Institutional Abuse Inquiry, and after such a horrific start in life, they're happy to have found each other, to be brothers once more.
