Tom McKinney concludes a week of performances by the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Today includes a concert they gave at the Barbican in November with a programme of Ruders, Shostakovich and Strauss. The BBC Symphony Chorus join the Orchestra for the Beatitudes by Bliss, and Afternoon Concert's tone poem theme continues with music by Dohnanyi.
