Peggy says goodbye, and Ruth is won over.

Alice's January blues are made all the worse because of her work colleague, Arun, he's been giving her a hard time, constantly suggesting ways she could improve her work, getting right under her skin. Chris suggests she ignore him but with the work party approaching Alice isn't so sure that's an option.

Toby's been doing his homework and shows off to Ruth his encyclopaedic knowledge on fetal development but when it comes to the scan he feels a little overwhelmed. He tells Ruth that he wasn't expecting to hear the baby's heartbeat; things are getting a little too real.

Despite Pip asking Toby to attend the scan she tells Ruth that there is absolutely no way the two of them will be getting back together for a third time. Although, she does wish David would give Toby another chance.

It's time for Peggy and Noluthando to say goodbye but there's been something on Peggy's mind. How is it that Kate and Noluthando are friends again, Kate's even accompanying her to South Africa? Noluthando tells Peggy the truth about Freddie's party, she admits that she took a pill and ended up in hospital. She tells Peggy that Kate saved her life and promises never to do it again. Peggy is proud of them both and gives Noluthando the necklace she bought herself a long time ago it's brought her luck over the years, she hopes it will bring Noluthando some too.
