Peers give a standing ovation to the Labour former minister Tessa Jowell as she talks about her brain cancer.
Sean Curran reports from Westminster where peers give a standing ovation to the Labour former minister Tessa Jowell as she talks about being diagnosed with brain cancer. Also in the programme: the Defence Secretary suggests he would resist pressure to make further cuts to the armed forces; cross-party support for a call to get rid of the concept of Joint Enterprise which allows accomplices to be convicted of murder even if they haven't participated directly in a fatal attack; and strong criticism of the way former ministers are able to take up highly-paid jobs when they leave government.
