Molly & Martin: Look, Smile, Chat
As part of Listening Month, Conor McKay introduces compelling real-life conversations from around Northern Ireland. Molly and Martin on the joys of chatting and laughing.
Molly was seriously ill when she was born. There were fears she'd never walk or talk - but she did. Even though Molly is profoundly deaf, a cochlear implant has transformed her life. Now a teenager, she lives by the motto "Look, smile, chat". Her dad Martin remembers the days when she did have problems with her speech - the family used sign language, but as Martin says, Molly already "had her own wee voice".
